The Famous Five - 2016
& The Secret Seven too!!
In 2015 I decided to acknowledge the talent I had worked with over the year in a fun awards for the year for the halfling project actors and performers.
I was surprised how well received it was and the interest it created - so I am doing it again for 2016.
If you don't get the Enid Blyton aspect here - then you really do not understand The Halfling Project!
Never mind that's not important here!
So as way of explanation let me explain the criteria used to present the Famous 5 and The Secret Seven for 2016.
The first thing to understand is my key measurement for the winners here is potential, attitude and commitment. That is the whole basis of my work - both on The Halfling Project and act4ward., to build up confidence and self awareness to get out there and perform, learn and impress..
Some may question the simple informal approach I use, but it works.
It does ofcourse rely upon the participant putting the effort in and all those in the Five & the Seven have done that.
The level of acting/performance skills can vary at this time, but that commitment and hard working attitude will ensure they progress.
Last year the top dog was Bruce Herberlin Earle - he is mentioned elsewhere.
Like last year the winner this year was always going to be in the top five - I was impressed from the start , I knew from that first meet I wanted to work with him again, and thankfully it was a mutual feeling.
Like Bruce it's so much about attitude and that I can do this approach, but more than that it's just putting the effort in and appreciating our time together.
In ending this short piece, let me say thank you to all who have turned up and taken part - remember if you did not take a second shoot if it was offered you were automatically excluded from going forward to the Secret & Famous - but your efforts were still valued and you would be welcomed back if you wanted to visit.
It's important to understand these open photo shoots/meetings are for mutual benefit - you build up my work as well as your own experience and profiles etc.
Looking forward to meeting some of you again with act4ward in 2017 - of which more later.
Take care & best wishes.
