The Halfling Project archive       

The Halfling Project is the founding work from which WildVen and act4ward have spawned.

In the 2 years since it began it has expanded it's photography work past it's original remit and the changes being made is to take The Halfling Project back to it's core intent.

The Halfling Project was setup to bring into the public eye awareness to childhood special needs such as autism, childhood daily pressures, bullying, depression - education  justice and opportunity.

Through talking, writing and visual and audio practical work it is set to support children and childhood.

It concentrates on males, it would not be appropriate to extend this unless and until suitable female support is available.

The tie in with actors and performance came from the high level of actors on the autistic spectrum and the special needs and support they benefit from.

However those not on the spectrum were also encouraged to take part, not least as it gave a smokescreen to those privately battling with concerns and problems.

The sheer demand to take part, and the lack of any commercial aspect to the Halfling Projecthas now meant a change by taking the photography and actors/performance work to act4ward.

This allows the Halfling Project to build on it's cheirf aims, and for act4ward to build into an effective work in it's own right.

There is going to be a lot of cross work between each ofcourse but it should makes things simpler in the long run and avoid children thinking they cannot take part if they are not autistic!

These changes will take time - an early new frontpage has now been added to The Halfling Project

but here you will find the Halfling archive which includes the 2016 website.

As different web software is being used the two sites are not able to be edited as one - so until time allows a complete update to Halfling please feel free to use the old site for information too.
