Parental guidance to website content
As creator of this and allied Wildven websites I take great care to maintain a general "suitable for all" approach to it's content.
However it is unavoidable that some content will have levels of swearing + grown up humour, sexual references in performance and levels of character dressing down.
Broadly speaking this is inline with the average viewing experience of the main TV channels & is realistic to the industry.
Swearing for example is commonplace in castings for mid teens today as are sexual references.
Whilst I do not encourage this - some scripts and dramatic content will include swearing and strong character/life themes.
If i were to choose to remove this then act4ward would not reasonably prepare those taking part for how the acting industry is today.
For dramatic and historic characterisation actions such as smoking, levels of bullying and violence, sexual references, drugs and youth lifestyle and levels of nudity may be depicted - but always in strict context and never to a point where anything could be deemed indecent. It is advised that parents view the site for themselves and make their own decision as to whether they wish younger children to view.
The viewing experience within this work is set to be mainstream - in the same way as for example Channel 4 television - which is open access.
Should any parents have concerns about any content within this or other William David websites please contact me directly so i may review my decisions.
As policy I have asked a group of content advisers to view the websites and comment on any concerns they may have in regard to content as it might be viewed by children.
However I have a strict personal code of conduct and standards of work I follow in line with basic decency in all work, and aim for my work to be child friendly at all times.
